Fur, Fins, or Feathers? Fur duh! I couldn’t live with my sweet lil pup lulu !
One product I simply could not live without is my Lululemon align biker shorts. I will wear those all day! I actually do not know how I survived without them for so many years!
I love how Studio Barre encourages everyone to be their best. It’s a strong community of friendship, strength and love! ❤️
Favorite beverage: Coffee…no contest!
Fur, Fins or Feathers: Definitely fur!! I love my doggies!
One product I can’t live without: Chapstick!
Hey there! I’m Theone. No, not ‘the one’ but Theona. I am a passionate, loving, driven (and yet stubborn) enneagram 3 person. I’m a proud mother of two children who teach and challenge me daily. I’m a wife to a man-child who balances me.
I love Studio Barre because after each class I feel like I am a better human. I continue taking classes because with each class I take, I feel more confident with my body and sexy.
I love to read, my fav author is Colleen Hoover, I’ve read cried through, I mean read all her books. I have a 6 year old Shih Tzu, Teddy, that means everything to me. I love to craft even though it drives my husband nuts when I’m obsessing over every project, it brings me so much joy looking at the finish product. I also love to horribly sing karaoke with my friends and eat all the good food & drinks! I love my friends & family, they are some of the best people I’ve ever met. I’ve been a maid of honor/ bridesmaid 5 times!
I absolutely love SBNP. I did a little yoga before SB but never have done any other type of workout, I always hated exercising. Barre has been the only workout I’ve ever been able to stick to. I’ve been doing barre for over 5 years and it’s never gets old or boring. The instructors are really motivating and they feel like friends rather than actual instructors. The community is probably my favorite part of SBNP. The clients I’ve met here have turned into friends. They also push you to do your best. We have so many badass clients that inspire me to do my best each class. I really can’t imagine my life without SBNP, whenever my husband talks about moving, I always ask him how far I’ll have to drive to SBNP, if it’s too far, we aren’t going lol.
I’m currently living my best life! I have been married for 22 years and have an almost-adult son who’s about to move across country for college. I had been a SBNP client since the studio opened in 2014 and instantly fell in love with the workout and the barre community. I was working in the super stressful biotech industry until 2020. At that point I started working for SBNP and was able to spend so much more time at my happy place, first as a Barreista then as Barretender. I love Studio Barre because of all the amazing women I’ve met and have become friends with over the years, and of course the kickass workout. Studio Barre is a welcoming atmosphere where women of all ages, shapes, and physical abilities are supported and celebrated. I can’t imagine my life without SB.
Hey, I’m Gloria (Glo, G$), hailing from CA. Married for 27 years to my high school sweetheart, two adult kids, and a house of fur. I love working at SBNP because of the community that is simply: barre. Women supporting women, it can’t be any better than that 💛
Your beverage of choice: Tea
Fur, Fins or Feathers? Fur, for sure!
One product you can’t live without:: Zojirushi Water Boiler, it’s really the best thing ever.
Describe your teaching style in one word: Laid-back
I am a mom of 2 RAD and fantastic incredible boys (15 & 13) and I’m getting married to my love of almost 8 years in October!😍
~Fun Fact: Cindi and her husband Aris introduced my fiancé and I, and we are getting married at a SBNP clients house🤩
Why do I love Studio Barre?!? ⬆️ All of the above, plus the amazing way the workout makes me feel during and after! Also the fact that I get to hang with and inspire incredible strong women every day… my job is not a job… It’s my happy place🤟🏽
Owner, Barre{tender}, MTT
Hi! I’m Cindi – the owner of Studio Barre, Newbury Park. I opened the studio 8 years ago – I can’t believe how fast time flies! I am also a wife of almost 25 years and have 2 amazing boys – 21 and 18 years old. We are about to be “empty nesters” as our youngest is about to move to Hawaii for college and our oldest has been in San Luis Obispo for a year now.
We have 2 giant dogs who are everything to us! And our favorite place on the planet is Hawaii – seriously any island will do, but Maui holds a special place in our hearts. We plot daily how we can end up retiring there!
I love Studio Barre for so many reasons, but my favorite thing is the community we have built. The staff and the clients are some of the most amazing humans ever and it is a pure joy to spend time with them.

Ava recently moved to Ventura after graduating from San Diego State University. She was a client at the Mission Hills studio in San Diego, and found us right away when she moved to the area. She is a bright smile at the front desk and a wonderful caretaker for the kiddos who come to our childcare hours.
Jenna was born and raised in Thousand Oaks and graduated fro TOHS last June. She started at Studio Barre as a client because her Aunt Addie was an instructor! She immediately fell in love with the workout and shortly after started working as a Barre{ista}.
What she loves about Studio Barre:
“I love how accomplished I feel after completing a class. It gets the endorphins going & you feel like you’re on cloud nine. There’s no bad day that a little tuckin’ can’t fix! On top of that, the atmosphere and attitudes of everyone who goes to SBNP is unlike anywhere else! So much love!💛”
Her favorite barre position:
“I love all pretzel, but seated pretzel is my favorite for sure! I love how you can really feel the muscles working and days after you can always feel how sore you are, no matter which version you do. But with seated pretzel you can really focus in on your seat and let it burn so good!”
Her favorite non-barre activity:
“I love going hiking, we live in such a beautiful area there’s never a bad day to go! All my family live really close too, so spending time with them is very special to me, our favorite activity being camping. I also love spending time with friends and playing with puppies!😍”
Fun fact about Jenna:
“I am very health conscious which is what initially drew me in to SBNP because of the amazing workouts and positive, uplifting community, and I’m currently going to school to become a dietitian!”
Allie was born and raised in Newbury Park! She moved to Santa Barbara to go to school at UCSB, and then moved back to NP after graduation. You’ll see Allie’s sweet smile at the desk on Monday mornings and serving up cold margaritas after the 5:30 class on Fridays!
What she loves most about Studio Barre:
“I loveeeee the energy and positivity! I always feel so good leaving barre, because the workout is amazing (obvi), but the instructors, staff, and Cindi are just so sweet and caring! Barre is a community of encouraging and uplifting badass babes!! I just simply love it.”
Her favorite barre position:
“Favorite barre position is any version of pretzel 🥨 ! The burn is just so darn good! I also love using the red bands in class because the added challenge of balance and resistance makes for a super great full-body workout!”
Her favorite non-barre activity:
“I love reading “Psychology Today” magazine, seeing new movies in the theater, trying new restaurants, and going on staycations!”
Fun fact:
“I studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland as an undergrad at UCSB, and was lucky enough to visit 8 countries while abroad: Ireland, Scotland, England, Portugal, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Spain!”
Kailey was born in Bettendorf, IA but has lived more than half her life here in the Conejo Valley. She loves the sense of community! “Newbury Park is just the coziest town” 🙂
Molly lives in Camarillo with her husband, Bret, their son Brock, their vizsla Bulleit and a baby boy due any day now! She has taught and tucked right up to the end of her pregnancy, so if you need any prego tucking advice, she’s your girl!
Shannon lives in Newbury Park with her husband, Rob (a newly addicted tucker!), their three gorgeous children and sweet pit bull, Harper. Shannon is one of the few tuckers in the studio to have taken well over 800 classes! So, when she went from client to barre{tender} it was as if she had been teaching barre forever!
Kellie grew up in Newbury Park and recently finished her Masters Degree at CLU. She just got engaged to her boyfriend, Michael so there is going to be a lot of fun wedding talk in the studio this year!
Born and raised in California, April moved to Steamboat Springs where she lived for 14 years before moving back CA in 2004 to marry her soulmate, Gary. They now live in Newbury Park with their two wonderful boys, 3 dogs, 2 cats and lots of fish.
After taking her first aerobics class at 16, April was hooked. She became certified and began teaching group fitness over 20 years ago.
What she loves about barre:
“With all my exercise experience, I’ve never encountered a technique that focuses on and creates such a super tight core. I think I’ve actually grown a few inches by all the lengthening and strengthening.”
April’s favorite barre position:
“Side-L. Working the seat in this position really creates a beautiful shape to the back of the leg, making for a high and super tight tush!”
April’s favorite non-barre activity:
“Mountain biking! There is nothing quite like the feeling of flying down a trail with the wind blowing in your face, causing your eyes to tear up. knowing there’s nothing between you and the ground but your tires is liberating and enthralling. I like the speed!!”
